It's been a great day! The 7am wake up call from the kids, the gifts, great food and fellowship with family. Tonight, we are celebrating His birthday. Every year since Heather was born, we have made a cake for Jesus. Several years ago, the girls started making a cookie cake.
Traditions continued last night with the kids sleeping together (even Max joined in) and Heather leaving Santa cookies.

Yesterday evening, we were blessed at our church's candlelight service. As part of the choir and praise ensemble, I had the privilege to be at both services (5:30pm and 8pm). 5,000 people attended the 5:30 service. We were also blessed by our own orchestra, including a special strings ensemble from the Charlotte area. This ensemble included 10 violinist, a cellist, and a bagpipe. After our pastor's message, we ended our service singing
Silent Night while the entire congregation lit candles. To see 5,000 candles lit singing was amazing! The piper entered the back of the sanctuary ending the service with Amazing Grace and Hark the Herald Angels Sing! I could just imagine what heaven is going to be like as the entire congregation, with candles lit, sang the verse
When we've been there 10,000 years.

I'm afraid Brittany would be squashed if she tried to sleep in a bed with her 2 brothers. At 6'4" and 6' 2 1/2", that's a lot of arms and legs to have sprawled out. :)
