We're back....

Heather is now an official college freshman. We left on Tuesday to head to Liberty University and returned last night. We had a great time and it was something I've never experienced. As we walked into her dorm, two of her prayer leaders came right away to introduce themselves and help Scott unload the car. They answered questions and made sure we were okay before they left. We made several trips to Bed, Bath and Beyond and Target throughout the course of the two days, of course. We laughed so hard at times, my sides ached. Yesterday was spent picking up her books, getting her car registered, and then joining her for lunch at the cafeteria. That was another amazement...every day, lunch and dinner, all you can eat, and every kind of food you can imagine. I would be as big as a whale!
After we knew she was all settled, Scott had prayer for her and tears were shed...happy ones. The last thing the prayer leaders said to Scott as we left were "we will take such good care of her". How could I not be at peace with that? It was a wonderful experience and we are so excited for Heather.

I'm thankful for this wonderful blogsite to "visit" with you and your family.
Please tell them all hello for me.

It's hard to believe our little Heather is in college. It was a pleasure to watch her grow up at Peace and an honor to be her "missions mom". I love her!
