Scott and I had the wonderful opportunity to preview the movie "Fireproof"...the latest from Sherwood Baptist Church...the creators of "Facing the Giants". We laughed, cried, and sat in silence. The word "amazing" cannot possibly describe what we experienced.
The creators of this movie are releasing a 40-day book for couples to work through called "The Love Dare." After seeing the movie, this title will totally make sense to you. My thoughts throughout the movie were thoughts of how I take Scott for granted, many days giving him the leftovers. Then I realized that is what I also do with God...giving Him whatever time I have left. It is one of the most powerful movies I have ever seen.

We had the rare privilege of meeting their pastor, some of the directors, and the guy that starred as the coach in "Facing the Giants" (who happens to also be one of the directors/writers for this project). They were there to answer questions and encourage churches to get involved in promoting this incredible movie.

We thoroughly enjoyed "Facing the Giants" and "Flywheel" (both done by Sherwood Baptist Church). Taylor showed me the trailer for "Fireproof" recently and it looks excellent. I marked my calendar right away with the opening date. These are the kind of movies that we WANT to support by seeing them in the theater. Thanks for the heads up about the couples' devotional as well. Maybe Todd and I can do that together.
