16 years....
That's how long I've been driving my children to school. It was August, 1995. That's the year Heather began kindergarten. Well, the driving ended this morning. Our son, Caleb, begins his junior year of high school today and drove himself. It was sad...and happy, all at the same time.
We saw Scott this morning walking into church & he gave the girls big hugs & said how today was a milestone with not having a child to drive to school for the first time in 15 years! I know you guys are proud of your sweet, growing kids! Praying that Caleb has a wonderful day!
Wow, I know you can hardly believe it! Well, if you get weepy and need to remember how little he once was you can just come get Rhett and love on him some. I guess since they looked so similar as little tykes this may be what Rhett is going to be like in 12 years.
if you're ever too down and out about not having school age kids, i have some toddlers that you can borrow anytime! they love school supplies and think school playgrounds are THE best thing ever. :) seriously, yay for you and scott on a new milestone in terms of adult and almost-adult kids. they love Jesus and they love you... mission accomplished.
